How Much Does a Website Cost in Mexico? Real 2026 Prices

Short answer: in Mexico, in 2026, a website built by a professional costs between MXN $8,000 and $250,000, and the range is that wide because "website" means very different things. One Mexican agency puts it plainly: a simple informational site sits at the low end, while a robust ecommerce or a custom build sits at the high end (July 2026).
If you need a number to budget with today: a landing page or small site runs MXN $8,000 to $25,000 (July 2026); a full corporate site, between MXN $35,000 and $120,000 (May 2026); and a professional online store, between MXN $22,000 and $120,000 depending on platform, design and integrations (July 2026). On top of that comes the annual running cost, which is the part almost nobody budgets. Below is the breakdown of what each range includes and how to request a quote you can actually compare.
Ranges published in Mexico for 2026
These are ranges that Mexican agencies and developers publish openly on their sites. They are not closed quotes: they are orders of magnitude so you can tell whether the price you were given is inside or outside the market.
| Project type | Published range (MXN) | Timeline | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Landing page / site with 1 to 5 sections | $8,000 – $25,000 | 1 to 3 weeks | GEDX, July 2026 |
| Informational site with 4 to 8 sections and blog | $18,000 – $55,000 | 3 to 6 weeks | BastianSoft |
| Corporate site | $35,000 – $120,000 | — | Magokoro, May 2026 |
| Corporate portal with integrations and user roles | $120,000 – $400,000+ | 8 to 20 weeks | BastianSoft |
| Basic e-commerce (up to 100 SKUs) on Shopify or WooCommerce | $35,000 – $95,000 | 4 to 8 weeks | BastianSoft |
| Advanced e-commerce (large catalog, filters, promotions) | $95,000 – $250,000+ | 8 to 16 weeks | BastianSoft |
On the supplier side the difference is just as clear: small and mid-size agencies offer packages from about $8,000 for a basic presence up to $60,000 for complete corporate sites, while large agencies quote $60,000 to $150,000 or more (June 2026). Another Mexican agency sets its entry point at around 40,000 MXN (June 2026). If you work with hourly rates, the Mexican development market in 2026 runs from USD $25 to $80 per hour, roughly MXN $350 to $2,200 depending on seniority, and the same source notes that rates in Monterrey and Mexico City are 20% to 30% higher than in Guadalajara, Mérida or Puebla (April 2026).
What each range includes
Basic site: $8,000 – $25,000
One to five sections, mobile-adapted design, contact form and analytics. For a single-page landing, that price usually covers design, basic copy, form or CTA, analytics and essential on-page SEO. It works to capture leads, validate an idea or have a professional presence. Do not expect integrations, a catalog or in-depth written content.
Corporate site: $35,000 – $120,000
This level includes content architecture, a blog or resource center, several page templates, initial content loading, technical SEO and a CMS so you can edit without depending on the vendor. When the site adds custom components, user roles and extended security, the published range rises to $120,000–$400,000 and the timeline to 8–20 weeks. That is the jump from "digital brochure" to operating tool.
Online store: $22,000 – $120,000
The price depends on the platform, the design and how many systems the store has to talk to. The variables that move the number most are the platform (WooCommerce, Shopify or a custom build), the level of design customization and the integrations required. A serious store includes an active payment gateway, shipping setup, tracking pixels and mobile testing. Stores from MXN $5,000 built by freelancers do exist, but those offers do not include custom design, conversion setup, technical SEO or mobile testing.
Why two quotes for the same project look so different
Usually nobody is ripping you off. Two quotes for the same project can differ 3x because they are quoting different things. The three decisions that move the price most are:
- Template or custom design. Starting from a Shopify or WordPress template cuts design and development cost by 30% to 60%.
- Integrations. CRM, ERP, electronic invoicing, shipping carriers and payment gateways are hours of work you cannot see in the design, but you do pay for.
- Content. If you deliver finished copy and photos, the budget goes down. If the vendor produces them, add it in.
When the cheap option is the right one
If you have not yet validated demand, do not hire a custom build. Doing it yourself costs from about MXN $770 the first year (June 2026), and platforms like Wix range from $0 to roughly $500 pesos a month, while with WordPress.org you can put together a basic site from $700–$2,000 pesos the first year if you only pay for domain, hosting and a template. For a business that is still testing an idea, that is enough and it is the correct financial decision.
The problem starts when that site is already carrying real sales and nothing has changed. Charging $3,000 for a site exists, but it is almost always a template without strategy that you will rebuild in six months. Paying twice costs more than paying properly once.
The annual costs almost nobody calculates
- Domain: between MXN $220 and $637 per year depending on the extension (June 2026). Check the renewal price, not the first-year promo.
- Hosting: MXN $40 to $100 a month on basic plans (July 2026).
- Business email: MXN $1,200 to $3,600 per year per mailbox with Google Workspace or equivalent.
- Maintenance: basic maintenance —hosting, domain renewal and security updates— runs MXN $3,000 to $8,000 a year. With formal monthly support it goes up: a monthly service runs between $1,500 and $4,000 pesos a month, and on large projects it ranges from 3,000 to 30,000 MXN a month for updates, backups, monitoring and patches.
- Store platform: if you sell on Shopify, the Basic plan comes to about USD $25 a month paid annually, a 25% saving versus monthly billing (June 2026).
How to request a quote you can actually compare
- Define scope in number of pages and templates, not in adjectives. "Corporate site" is not scope; "home, 3 service pages, about, blog, contact" is.
- Say who delivers the content. Copy, photos and logo change both price and calendar.
- List the integrations from day one: payment gateway, invoicing, CRM, shipping, WhatsApp, appointment booking.
- Ask whose name the domain, hosting and repository are under. If they are not in your name, you do not own your site.
- Ask for year-2 cost in writing, with hosting, licenses, plugins and support itemized. Compare that number, not just the launch price.
- Set milestones and deliverables by stage. As a published reference, a landing page takes 3 to 7 business days, a full site 1 to 3 weeks and an e-commerce 2 to 6 weeks or more if there are special integrations.
- Demand a fixed price for a fixed scope and a written rule for charging out-of-scope changes.
How we do it at imSoft
At imSoft we work from Guadalajara on websites, online stores, mobile apps and custom software. When someone writes to us with this question, the first call is about understanding the real scope: which pages, which integrations, who provides the content and what has to happen after launch. That call is free and it does not end in a generic PDF.
With that information we deliver a proposal within 48 hours with a fixed price, written scope, calendar and next year's running cost in the same document. If your case is better solved with a template and a self-service plan, we will tell you; we prefer that over selling you a build you do not need yet.
