If you searched "how much does an app cost" and found figures from 15,000 pesos on one page to 4 million on another, nobody is lying. "An app" is not a product: it is a huge range of work, and each company quotes the slice of the range it works in. Here is what Mexican agencies publish in 2026, why they contradict each other, and what actually moves the price, so you can read a quote without getting played.
These are the ranges published by four Mexican development companies, reproduced as-is in Mexican pesos with the date of their article:
| Source | Basic app | Mid-range app | Complex app |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alcodea (2026) | $15,000 – $50,000 | $50,000 – $100,000 | $100,000 – $500,000+ |
| Creaun (March 2026) | from $50,000 | $80,000 – $200,000 | $150,000 – $300,000 |
| Bridge Studio (Sept. 2026) | $150,000 – $350,000 | $350,000 – $800,000 | $800,000 – $2,000,000+ |
| Magokoro (May 2026) | $80,000 – $180,000 | $250,000 – $600,000 | $700,000 – $2,000,000+ |
For a "basic app" there is a tenfold gap between the lowest and highest figure. That is not noise: it is the most useful information in the table, and the next section explains it.
Three things explain almost all of the difference.
The same sources publish their hourly rates, and the ladder is clear:
A 400-hour app costs $160,000 with a $400/hour freelancer and $1,000,000 with a $2,500/hour consultancy. Same number of hours. What changes is team size, process, warranty, and who you can hold accountable if something breaks.
For Alcodea, basic is 1 to 5 screens on a single platform. For Bridge Studio, the lowest tier is a "focused MVP" built in 6 to 10 weeks by a full team. Different products, same label. Compare scopes before you compare prices.
Some quotes include interface design, backend, testing, and store publishing. Others charge for development only, with everything else billed separately. When a quote is suspiciously cheap, it is almost always because one of those pieces is missing.
The development price is the starting line, not the total. Budget for these too:
Published timelines are more consistent than prices:
If someone promises an app with payments, backend, and two platforms in three weeks, ask what is being left out.
Nobody gives you a price over the phone because nobody can. But you can shorten the path a lot by showing up with this:
With that, any serious team can give you a range on the first call and a fixed price after a discovery session.
We do not publish a price table for apps because it would be made up: every project is quoted on its own flows and integrations. What we do is deliver a fixed-price proposal within 48 hours of understanding the project, with no surprise charges at the end. We are an agency based in Guadalajara and we build with React Native to cover iOS and Android with a single codebase, which is the most efficient way to spend the budget when you need both platforms.
If you have an idea and want to know which range it falls into, write to us with the five points above. The first call is free.
